Decaf - Mexico

Our Rio Blanco EA Decaf comes from a blend of different growing regions near the Citlaltepetl volcano in Veracruz, Mexico. This is a consistently producing area known for its rich volcanic soils and high altitude conditions.

To decaffeinate, we use the Sugar Cane EA (Ethyl Acetate) process. The beans are moistened with water, EA is circulated to bind with and extract the caffeine, then the beans are steamed clean. It's a natural, gentle method that leaves the flavour compounds largely intact. So you're not sacrificing the good stuff to skip the buzz.
